How does it work?

Solar Panels — Conversion of energy generated by the sun to DC power.

Inverter — DC power sent to the inverter gets converted to AC power.

Electrical Panel — AC power is then sent to the electrical panel which distributes power evenly to the entire property as needed.

Utility Meter —Unused power is sent to the utility meter. The meter revolves backwards and measures unused electricity. Electricity fed back to the utility grid will result in credits from the local electric company.

NML (Net Meeting Legislation) states that utility companies must credit customers the retail rates of energy (this is the same price utility companies would charge customers when selling power). This process is also known as time of use.
Note – Not all utility companies have time of use program.

Tax Credits & Rebates
